Production of the Angara launch vehicle will be transferred to the Polet plant in Omsk.
This was stated in the presentation of Roscosmos Deputy General Director in charge of Missile Projects Dmitry Baranov.
“Transfer of production of the Angara launch vehicle to the Polyot (Omsk) production association,” the presentation said.
The presentation noted that the Angara-A5M launch vehicle is a modernized version of the Angara-A5. In particular, it is equipped with a modernized RD191M liquid rocket engine with improved power characteristics.
Previously, the third stage of the first Angara-A5 flying rocket was transferred from the Khrunichev Center site in Moscow to the Polet enterprise for general assembly and control testing.
