RAS President Gennady Krasnikov said the planned space mission to Venus will search for signs of life on the planet. About this report RIA Novosti.

Krasnikov made this statement during a meeting with Vladimir Putin. In his report, the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences spoke about the National Project “Development of space activities in the period up to 2030 and the future up to 2036”. Its component will be the Space Science project, within the framework of which the Vener-D mission will take place.
“We have planned the Vener-D project. This is just to look at signs of life on Venus,” he said.
Previously, Krasnikov said that the Russian Academy of Sciences has more than a hundred proposals for national projects on technological leadership.
