Samsung has delayed releasing updates for its smartphones. About this report Famous insider Tarun Vats.

Wats noticed that the IT giant from Korea is yet to introduce the beta version of the One UI 8.5 firmware, based on Android 16, for the Galaxy S25 series phones. According to him, the release of the new operating system (OS) version has been delayed due to the Galaxy S26+ release plan.
At the end of October, insiders said Samsung had suddenly changed its mind about launching the ultra-thin Galaxy S26 Edge because the Galaxy S25 Edge was not successful in the market. To replace the experimental smartphone, the company had to continue developing the Galaxy S26+, a product it previously did not want to release. Apparently, the problems with One UI 8.5 are somewhat related to Samsung's changed plans.
Android Police journalists also remindthat Samsung will have to postpone the release of the Galaxy S26 from January to March. Most likely, the full release of Android 16 will also take place in early 2026 due to the manufacturer's desire to release this operating system with new smartphones.
Previously, it was known that the Samsung Galaxy S25+ smartphone caught fire while in the owner's hands. The company did not explain the cause of the incident but compensated users for the cost of this device.
