According to the GalaxyClub portal. nl, Samsung is currently working on a new smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. This model will be a continuation of the watch released in 2024. Not much is known yet.
It is known that the development of Ultra 2 is taking place in parallel with the creation of the future Galaxy Watch 9. The internal index of the device is currently designated as Watch 9 Ultra, but the final name will most likely remain “familiar” – Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
If the company maintains tradition, the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could be launched around July 2026. This would coincide with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 foldable smartphones.
The company updated the Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2025, but the changes were minor – mostly cosmetic.
