The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs does not recommend refusing to log in to applications that use biometric data, the news portal reports “MVD-media“.
“Some media are spreading information that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends abandoning the use of biometric data for entering banking applications. Such announcements do not correspond to reality,” the portal noted.
Police recommend using facial recognition (Face ID) to protect your personal data and financial transactions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs notes that this method is recommended as an effective tool to increase the level of security.
“The publications distributed in the media were prepared on the basis of basic information and memoranda, some of which are no longer relevant,” the ministry emphasized.
