After a short lull, a twice as powerful M flare appeared on the Sun. This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It should be noted that the burning of extended flare ribbons has been observed on the Sun's surface, which indicates a massive ejection.
The laboratory clarified that the first of the two flares was classified as M1.1, the second as M8.1
Let us remind you that the current year is marked by unusually high solar activity. Therefore, periods of instability may also occur in December. According to preliminary estimates, small magnetic storms may occur on the 23rd and 30th.
