Zotac has just launched the Zbox Magnus EAMAX compact mini PC line based on the AMD Strix Halo APU in a box with a volume of only 2.65 liters.
Despite their modest size, these systems achieve levels of performance previously found in large desktop computers.
Performance and size
The Zbox Magnus EAMAX features an AMD Strix Halo APU, combining up to 16 Zen 5 cores and AMD's most powerful integrated GPU to date. The top model Zbox Magnus EAMAX395C is equipped with 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM, providing quick data access and comfortable multitasking.
At the same time, the mini PC is so compact that it hardly takes up space on the desktop. Its dimensions are 210 × 203 × 62.2 mm.
Interface
Despite its compact design, the Zbox Magnus EAMAX offers a wide variety of interfaces. For image output, two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and two HDMI 2.1 connectors are provided. The rear I/O panel also contains four USB-A ports, two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet network connectors, as well as antenna connectors for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
On the front there are USB-A, USB4 Type-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone audio jack. The internal layout is designed to install up to three M.2 solid-state drives with PCIe 4.0×4 interface and support for M.2 2280 and M.2 2242 formats.
Configuration and equipment
The Zbox Magnus EAMAX series includes three configurations:
- EAMAX395C – Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, 128 ГБ LPDDR5X, Radeon 8060S;
- EAMAX390C – Ryzen AI MAX 390, 32 ГБ LPDDR5X, Radeon 8050S;
- EAMAX385C – Ryzen AI MAX 385, 32 ГБ LPDDR5X, Radeon 8050S.
All versions are available in both base configurations and come with a pre-installed 1 TB SSD and Windows 11 Home operating system.
Release date and price
The release date and price of the Zbox Magnus EAMAX series have not yet been announced. According to experts, the price of the most advanced configurations can be around 2,000 euros.
