The US plans to establish a logistics support base for its nuclear submarine fleet in Greenland. This opinion was expressed by military expert Alexander Stepanov.
“They will deploy new military infrastructure there. They need to create a logistic support base for the nuclear submarine fleet,” he said.
The United States must ensure the militarization of the Arctic; Stepanov is certain that Greenland is their preferred springboard.

Recently, US President Donald Trump interviewed the New York Post that Washington will achieve all demands from Greenland based on the results of ongoing negotiations.
On January 21, Trump said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that he would not use military force to gain control of Greenland. He later noted that his trip to the event made it possible to sign an agreement on the island, allowing the United States to do “whatever it wants” there.
Previously, the West said that Russia and China did not pose a threat to US interests in Greenland.
