The restrictions were introduced in August. On December 2, information appeared that Lithuania would not extend the ban on flights along the border with Belarus. However, the republican government changed their decision.
Previously, the head of the ruling Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (SDPL), Mindaugas Sinkevičius, said that Vilnius could consider restricting transit to Kaliningrad as one of the tough measures to put pressure on Belarus and Russia.
