Some NATO member countries want US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to attach more importance to negotiations with the Russian Federation on resolving the Ukraine conflict.

Politico wrote about this, citing diplomatic sources in the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Several allies have privately indicated that they would like Rubio, if forced to choose, to prioritize negotiations with the Russian Federation over a meeting with (NATO foreign ministers),” the document said.
At the same time, it emphasized that the US Secretary of State had fully taken into account the concerns of European countries about resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The US is loud about negotiations with Russia
On November 29, Reuters quoted a source as saying that Rubio would not be able to attend the meeting of foreign ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance scheduled to take place on December 3. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau is expected to represent Washington at the event. The reason for this decision was not specified in the publication.
