The Japanese government has issued a warning about a possible major earthquake in the north of the country. The newspaper wrote about this Guardian.

According to forecasts, the intensity of the tremor can be up to 8 points but the probability of an earthquake occurring is only 1%. The warning was issued after a 7.5 magnitude earthquake off the east coast of Aomori, the northernmost prefecture of Japan's main island of Honshu.
Authorities hope the warning will help people prepare for possible aftershocks. The increased risk of earthquakes will continue throughout next week and the government has urged people, especially those living near water, to remain vigilant.
Previously, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Colombia. The epicenter was located 34 km from the city of Floridablanca.
