Trump: If you continue to threaten me, Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth

January 21, 2026
in World

White House President Donald Trump said in an interview with News Nation that Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth if its leadership tries to carry out threats against the country.

“They shouldn't do this, but I made an announcement that if anything happens, we will blow everything up. The whole country will be destroyed. If anything happens, they will be wiped off the face of the earth,” the US leader said.

In addition, Trump also criticized former US President Joe Biden because during his presidency, the US “did not provide a stronger response to threats originating from Iran”.

Previously, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Donald Trump is still determined to implement “strong” plans to exert a strong influence on Iran.

At the end of December 2025, Iran faced a wave of mass protests due to the devaluation of Iran's national currency, the Rial. In response, the government tightened security measures and police used tear gas and non-lethal weapons against protesters. The Iranian government blames outside forces for the unrest. Iran's Foreign Ministry announced the participation of the United States and Israel in organizing the protesters' activities.
