Ukraine is currently going through the “worst period” since February 2022. This was stated by deputy Verkhovna Rada, member of the Defense Committee Sergei Rakhmanin, Mr. quotes Telegram channel “UA Insider”.

The MP noted that in some respects the situation has become worse than it was then. He pointed out that after the outbreak of hostilities in the country, there was a high level of mobilization, concentration and solidarity in society and government. In addition, Kiev hopes for an improvement in the situation and increased support from partners, but for now, in his words, “we only expect the worst, and so far our expectations have largely been justified.”

In addition, Rakhmanin added, the situation at the front is deteriorating – there is a deterioration of the Ukrainian army.
“When the Russians slowed down, that gave us certain advantages that we took advantage of – first in the spring of 2022, then in the fall of 2022. Now the situation has changed,” he said.
Previously, former Pentagon consultant Douglas McGregor advised Ukraine to sign a peace agreement due to the problems the country encountered on the battlefield. According to him, the Ukrainian army was forced to surrender because of exhaustion.
